If you are tired of boring holiday parties, infuse your holiday bash with a wild west party and watch the fun unfold.
Haven’t we all been to holiday gatherings over the years and while the lights and decorations are nice and quaint, it just doesn’t get your guests engaged. Add a special western twist by telling your guests this is a wild west party. You can still have the tree and lights, but add a western flair by using western party lights in the shape of cowboy boots or chili pepper lights. The menu for your guests can be deliciously entertaining and easy at the same time. Consider a buffet table decked out with holiday décor with some western kick, pinecones, small cowboy boot servers or candles, and red and white checkered table coverings will incorporate the color of the season with your western party décor. Make your Holiday Gathering one to remember.
Set the mood early with your western party invitations. Use invitations made to look like denim or a classic western red bandana. If you are hosting a party with a denim and diamonds theme, make sure your invitations have some sparkle. You can add some dazzle using self-sticking crystal- like decorations found in super craft stores in the scrapbooking isle. Guests will get into the action by searing appropriate western attire in keeping with your party’s theme. Ask them to wear cowboy boots, denim jeans, jackets and any other western styled apparel they can get. Consider a buffalo piñata or other western inspired party games such as horseshoes. A wild west party will be a blast for your guests of all ages, so let your imagination and creativity be your guide.
Sometimes Those
Wild West Party
Events Are Tough On The Shy Guests
As a professional party planner, I can tell you that the most diificult part of throwing a successful theme party is getting the guests to be the party, that is immerse themselves into the them itself. You will always have the few less than shy personalities who really do not even need a theme party to open up and socialize. The ultimate success of a theme party is not reliant on these folks, however, but rather in the hosts ability to get everyone absorbed. Fortunately a western theme makes this easy.
A wild west party theme gets everyone in on the action. Encourage your guests to participate in the theme with western style accessories and attire. Bandanas, cowboy boots and anything denim (denim and diamond for the gals), makes it easy for your invitees to dress the part. Food is a cinch, with comfort food dishes that are easy to serve buffet style such as BBQ chicken and ribs, burgers, baked beans, cornbread, quesadillas and warm apple crisp for dessert. Western Party games are family friendly and can encourage kids and adults alike to participate. Horse shoes, shoot the target (Nerf guns only please) or a western themed piñata will ensure your guests are entertained.
I Guarantee That Your
Wild West Party
Will Be The First One They’ve Attended
It is not unusual, in fact its typical, that people get bored very quickly with the same thing over and over again. This is especially true with holiday parties and has resulted in less holiday parties being thrown and lower attendance when they are. The key to reigniting interest in holiday parties is by surprising your friends and family with fresh, engaging ideas which create an atmosphere to be really enjoyed versus just tolerated, and a wild west party certainly meets that goal.
